Meet Ryan McCabe, your conservative voice at the Statehouse.
Republican Ryan McCabe represents much of southwest Lexington County – including the Swansea, Pelion, Gaston, Edmund, Fairview, Boiling Springs, White Knoll and Red Bank communities – in the S.C. House of Representatives.
A steadfast conservative, Ryan successfully sought the District 96 seat in 2020 after becoming frustrated with a system he believes is too wasteful, too unaccountable, and too unresponsive to the needs of ordinary taxpayers.
“State government needs real, meaningful, conservative reform, and I want to be part of the process of bringing about that reform,” he says. “It’s time for a government that’s part of the solution instead of part of the problem.”
Ryan’s goals as our Representative include reigning in wasteful spending to ease the burden on taxpayers; strengthening our state’s ethics laws to keep politicians honest; better budget prioritization to ensure essential services, such as schools, come before frivolous “pet projects;” supporting small businesses; protecting the lives of the unborn; and safeguarding the constitutional right to self-defense.
He’s also an advocate for legislative term limits to prevent S.C. lawmakers from becoming career politicians.
Ryan is a rock-solid conservative who thinks like the majority of our mainstream-conservative community. He’s firmly committed to the Republican principles of less government and lower taxes. He’s solidly pro-life, because he believes every life is precious -- including those not yet born. As a Lifetime Member of the NRA -- as well as a member of the Mid-Carolina Hunting Club and the Mid-Carolina Rifle Club -- he’s an unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment. Above all, he’s a proud, patriotic American.
A businessman and attorney, Ryan is founding partner of the McCabe, Trotter & Beverly PC law firm. A dedicated family man, he and his wife Jennifer -- a former Lexington County school teacher -- live in the Boiling Springs community with their five children.
